Medical Center Cologne Istanbul

Medical Center Cologne Istanbul was reopened upon repeated requests, a doctor’s office in Istanbul to serve Turkish patients and Turkish speaking patients from Azerbeijan and Turkmenistan. On January 1st, 2013, a new team with two local doctors and additional staff has been established to better serve and educate patients and their beloved ones. The address is:

The current office building of Medical Center Cologne Istanbul (MCC Istanbul) which stands very tall between tens of new sky scrapers in a new area of development of Istanbul which is called Bati Atasehir with a “Dubai Effect.” New highrises of 60 floors or more are being built seemingly overnight.

A glimpse into the office of MCC Istanbul where several of the co-workers, like Arzu Ataer, are busy day and night to serve the growing stream of Turkish patients wit information and forwards their medical files to MCC in Cologne, Germany.

Mr. Cem Özcal is the main secertary and office manager for MCC Istanbul. Sitting in his office, he co-ordinates the patients’ flow of information and visa procedures for patients who want to come to Germany to be treated

Robert Gorter (l), Hava Kizilirmak (m) and Cem Özcal (r) was taken after the half-an-hour interview with the CNN Turkey television crew in front of Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul-Besiktas. The interview for the new channel CNN Turkey was also held in the open and at a historic and (directly recognizable for all Turkish citizens) site at the waterfront of the Bosporus.

 After the interview with CNN Turkey, Mr. Cem Özcal and Dr. Robert Gorter crossed the Bosporus on a public ferry boat on their way back to the office on the Anatolian side. By then, the weather had turned bad suddenly and there was half-a-storm with rain and temperatues that had dropped 10 degrees. Nevertherless, Cem started reading the book “Fighting Cancer” in Turkish .

View from the MCC office in Istanbul on the mosque which was built on request of Turkey’s current Prime Minister, Mr. Erdogan.  This huge mosque which can harbour approximately 6.000 thousand people,  was built next to the MCC Istanbul office building in Bati Atasehir, but seems to be standing idle there. On the weekends, one can hardly see more than a few hundred people attending the religious services.
