Triple-vaccinated people are 4.5 times more likely to test positive for Omicron than unvaccinated

According to recent figures released by the UK government through the Office for National Statistics, people who have been vaccinated three times are 4.5 times more likely to test positive for Omicron than those who have not been vaccinated, Summit. news reports.
The figures also show that double-vaccinated individuals are 2.3 times more likely to be infected with Omicron than those who did not take the shots.
The data, summarized in this article by Will Jones of the Daily Skeptic, bolsters the claim that the Omicron variant is effective at evading vaccines.
“Note that this is the probability that an infection is Omicron if a person is infected, so it doesn’t tell us how likely a person is to test positive in the first place,” Jones writes.
“This means it doesn’t tell us that the vaccines generally make things necessarily worse, just that they make it much more likely that a vaccinated person is infected with Omicron than any other variant. In other words, it is a measure of how well Omicron evades the vaccines compared to Delta. The fact that the triple vaccinated are much more likely to be infected with Omicron than the double vaccinated confirms this ability to evade vaccines but also that the immune system declines in a relatively short period of time: approx. 5% per week.”
Jones concludes from the data that:
“The current Omicron outbreak is largely an epidemic of the vaccinated and is not caused by the unvaccinated, but by those who have been double and triple vaccinated.”
Combined with the fact that Omicron has rapidly expanded to the majority of new infections, this suggests that the vaccinated are playing an excessive role in the current outbreak and spread.”

The numbers completely disprove claims that the Omicron outbreak is a “pandemic of the unvaccinated.”
