Dr. Robert Gorter: Emer Cooke is a clear example of how successful Big Pharma is in Brussels in lobbying and buying scientists and politicians alike.
Pharmaceutical companies producing vaccinations are not reliable for any damage their vaccines do. The tax payer pays the bills.
By having the WHO declaring a pandemic and that there were no proven effective therapies for the fatal SARS-CoV-2 infection, the EMA in Brussels and the FDA in the USA could provide a temporary license of one year to study safety and efficacy of various synthesized mRNA molecules-containing injections.
Many politicians are outspoken proponents of demanding by law these experimental injections as mandatory in order to participate in society without restrictions.
I must conclude that Emer Cooke is another example of the rampant corruption in Brussels: corruption that affects billions of people.
Emer Cooke is an Irish pharmacist and Executive Director of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) since November 2020.[1] She is also the chairperson at the International Coalition of Medicines Regulatory Authorities (ICMRA).[2]
Biography
Cooke obtained a pharmacy degree at Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland in 1982, following which she remained at Trinity to complete Masters degrees in Science and in Business Administration [3]
Starting in 1985, she held various positions in the pharmaceutical industry and from 1991 to 1998 she was a board member of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA), a very successful lobbying organization of the largest European pharmaceutical companies.[4][5] There she spent eight years lobbying for the “Big 30” of the European pharmaceutical industry, including Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Novartis, and Johnson & Johnson.[6]
She was appointed as Head of Regulation of Medicines and other Health Technologies with the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2016,[3]. In November 2020 she was appointed Executive Director of the EMA,[1] also taking the position of chairperson at the International Coalition of Medicines Regulatory Authorities (ICMRA) at the same time.[2]
On 16 March 2021, Cooke led an EMA press conference to inform about the ongoing investigation into reports of side-effects related to the Oxford–AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. Cooke said the EMA remains “firmly convinced” that the vaccine benefits outweigh the risks of potential side effects.[7][8]
In a session of the Austrian Parliament member of parliament Gerald Hauser on 1 April 2021 criticized a clearconflict of interest between Emer Cooke allowing the vaccine in her regulatory function, while having worked intensively for the very same industry as a lobbyist in the past during many years.[6][9][10]
